GATHERING DATA
Methodology
I, the researcher used both primary and secondary sources to gather the information that was needed to complete the school based assessment.
Primary sources included an interview which was conducted with PUT RECEPTIONISTS NAME, questionnaires which were given to a few members of staff which were filled out and returned to the researcher and also observation.
Secondary sources used were textbooks available on the topic and the internet was also used.
I decided to use questionnaires as it is a quick way to collect information and also make it easy to analyze data. An interview was conducted as it is suitable for complex topics such as mine and also enabled me to probe questions from the interviewee. I chose observation as it as it an easy way to personally see the activities that take place in the business. Today, the internet proves to be an effective source for information; hence, I used it to collect the necessary information on my topic.

June 22, 2017 Drafted permission letter Teacher outlined the necessary corrections to be made and returned draft for correction.
June 26,2017 Visited the business to see if it would be a good choice for me to do my research Examined the place and discovered that it would be a good choice.
August 7,2017 Brought in a letter to the business. The receptionist took the letter and said she would hand it over to the Manager.
August 14, 2017 Received a call from the secretary. Secretary informed me that the manager said I could come in next week Monday.

August 15, 2017 Formulated questionnaires. Put them up to be issued when next I visit the business.
August 21, 2017 Visited the Business and conducted an interview with the secretary and observed workplace. The interview went well. Confirmed a few things that I was unsure about and observed a few things about the office equipment that are used in the sale department.
August 21, 2017 Issued questionnaires to a few staff members. They said that they would fill them out and that I could pick them up the next day.
August 26, 2017 Collect questionnaires handed to the staff members. Most of them completed were completed.
November 25, 2017 Used information collected to put together S.B.A. S.B.A was completed successfully.
Regulations and Policies
One Piece of legislation governing the Bank of Nova Scotia is the Jamaica Banker’s Association Code of Conduct. I was made aware of this law by a teller.
One health and safety practice that I observed while carrying out this research was a “wet floor sign” that was placed on the wet floor to make staff and customers aware that there was a wet floor.
